Smartkarma Plus gives certifiable private accredited investors access to Smartkarma’s independent investment research network. Instead of a day-trading chatroom, you get analyst insights, thematic ideas, and market briefings across Asia-focused and global coverage — including U.S. equities, bonds/credit, macro, and crypto — written for investment decision-making rather than scalp timing.
Plus is intentionally different from Smartkarma Pro. Pro is aimed at licensed professional fund managers and, per Smartkarma Help, is listed around USD 10,950 per user per year with enterprise features such as compliance tooling and higher-touch analyst engagement. Plus is the private-accredited path: similar research corpus, lower packaging, with content-access rules that protect the professional tier.
Those rules matter in practice. Smartkarma states that Plus users see the same content as Pro with a small percentage (~20%) potentially time-delayed by up to 10 days based on popularity. Newly published insights are embargoed from Plus for the first hour; if an insight exceeds a view threshold quickly, the longer embargo can apply. Originals, exchange-sponsored, and broker content are never embargoed. Insight providers can also disable Plus distribution for their work entirely.
Used well, Plus is a research inbox and idea network: read, compare theses, check filings/data elsewhere, then act in your own brokerage account. Used poorly, it becomes unread article pile-up. The product assumes you can evaluate research quality and that you legally qualify as an accredited private investor.
